There’s something special about late summer in the mountains — especially at 11,000 feet. The wildflowers are still hanging on, the skies are crisp and clear, and the light stretches out in that slow, golden way that makes every moment feel just a little more meaningful.
This Colorado proposal session took place at Pass Lake, just below Loveland Pass, and it was the perfect mix of peaceful, scenic, and personal. The couple had planned a casual hike, but what started as a walk around the lake turned into a life-changing moment.
The proposal happened at the edge of the lake, surrounded by alpine wildflowers and peaks in every direction. It was quiet, genuine, and exactly what they wanted — no crowds, no distractions, just the two of them in a place that already meant something to their story.
I am super honored to show off this beautiful Estes Park Elopement! These two were just so incredibly cute and kind to each other- and their adorable daughter just won my heart (of course!)! Together they traveled here, with just their immediate family, and tied the knot just outside of Rocky Mountain national Park, and then we adventured in the Park itself until Sunset! I love when Trail Ridge Road is open, because you just can’t beat a good sunset up there! Feels like you are on top of the world ;).
Who says you have to choose between a private elopement and celebrating with your loved ones? This dreamy Winter Park, Colorado elopement is proof that you can totally have both — a peaceful, just-the-two-of-you ceremony in the mountains, followed by a cozy, meaningful gathering with your closest people.
These two pulled off the best of both worlds- and it was an amazing afternoon!
Javi and Alexis traveled from out of town to check out our beautiful state, RMNP and Estes Park, and Javi had a little surprise planned as well! These two were all smiles and laughter from the moment I spotted them….and then followed them down the trail to where Javi would drop down on one knee for the perfect Rocky Mountain National Park Proposal! With their relaxed, outdoorsy style and effortless chemistry, they looked like they stepped right out of an Eddie Bauer catalog—natural, stylish, and completely in love. Their energy made the entire session feel spontaneous and fun, with sweet moments that unfolded effortlessly throughout the session.
It was an, intimate Elopement day surrounded by towering peaks, shifting clouds, and the wild beauty of nature! Jessica and Kevin’s Rocky Mountain National Park elopement was such an inspiring and BLAST of a day! These two and their closest friends were such a fun group- had me withins they lived here so we could be besties! As a Colorado elopement photographer, I get to witness a lot of really gorgeous sunsets and mountain peaks— but this was such a fun day for me to shoot the crazy Colorado weather- and come up with some really cool images that looked different from so many that I had done in the same locations!
As many dream of, this kind and sweet couple decided to drive in to Colorado this past summer to exchange vows among the gorgeous Colorado mountains! I mean, why wouldn’t you!? Ok, I’m a bit biased…..but really?? On this beautifully bright and sunny bluebird Colorado day, these two chose to have their closest family members and friends join them in a small mountain ceremony at Julia’s Deck on Shrine Pass, and then after time and photos with them, we headed to Lake Dillon in Frisco area (summit county) for some additional photos and a private Vow exchange! Best of both worlds!
I absolutely loved this Fall day in Rocky Mountain National Park! These two were just so dang adorable and such a great energy together— just up for whatever— I loved it! We planned a ceremony in a beautiful spot in Estes Park that I love….and nobody was around— bonus!! Then, we headed out to RMNP for some adventuring and beautiful sights!
I love me a good Sunset. Or sunrise….but let’s be honest…mornings aren’t as easy ;). Frolicking all around the Colorado mountains for Adventure Elopements, Engagement sessions, Weddings (and Families!), I have been treated to many gorgeous evenings! As a photographer, light is everything…and when. you start to see the soft glowy (or harsh— but colorful!) light of sunset emerge….I actually start giggling and making weird noises and jump around like a little ninja trying to get all the angles within the 10 minutes (max!) that we have!
Jordan and Blair have a deep love for the outdoors. They really wanted to include some beautiful Elopement style mountain photos for their wedding, but it just wasn’t going to happen on their wedding day….so we did a fun and relaxing photo session the day after their wedding (at Della Terra Mountain Chateau in Estes Park)! This is a great way to have an Elopement feel and some private time with each other surrounding your wedding, and still have a larger wedding with family and friends! Thus…why I labeled this as an Elopement Post!

Winter in Colorado is one of the best seasons for adventurous proposals — fewer crowds, unreal mountain views, and those famous bluebird skies that make photos pop. This Echo Lake proposal and engagement session had all of it: sunshine, snow, and a couple who was all smiles from start to finish.
As far as winter engagement photo locations go in Colorado, Echo Mountain area is one of my favs. It gives you big mountain scenery without a long hike, which makes it perfect for surprise proposals while still feeling like a true mountain adventure!
