Fall Engagement in Rocky Mountain National Park
Wildfire skies and changing Aspens made for a colorful Colorado Engagement session!
Last fall, Mikayla and Zach joined me on a beautiful (aside form the fire and smoke) evening in Rocky Mountain National Park, right outside of Estes Park Colorado. They came all the way from Maryland to get some epic Colorado Engagement photos!! Unfortunately, my poor state was being ravaged by Fires at this time last year (fingers crossed for this year everybody!!!)— so on top of COVID challenges and all of that, we had some smoke and haze that day to incorporate! Not the big far-off views like normal, but I loved the way the sky looked with the pinks and haze (although I hated it…but you know what I mean…make lemonade out of lemons!!). We had a great evening frolicking through the Aspens, and taking the drive up to the Top of the world (Trail Ridge Road) for a hazy Sunset!
September and October in Colorado is my absolutely favorite time! This session was taken on October 3rd, and you can see how beautiful the area was with all the trees, and then weather is perfect!! Although, of course getting into October can be unpredictable in the high country with Snow….but early October tends to still be pretty mild!
If you are interested in learning more about having a Colorado Elopement, or Engagement session in Rocky Mountain national Park….REACH OUT to me! I have a ton of experience and info on the area, and can help you plan your perfect day!
*note: this Park does require Permits for Photography, as well as Elopements. Also, there are many spots that are no longer (well, never really were…) ok to tread on, as it is on sensitive Tundra. I am well versed in this and will alway follow LNT principals.
