I have officially moved up to Northern Colorado!

In the midst of much pondering with my hubby over the last few years about moving back up north (I am a CSU grad and from Northern Colorado-- so most of our family and friends are all up here!), we had our "sign". I know, I know.....you may not believe in signs....but we truly had a good set up in Lakewood-- a great house and location, etc.....we were just missing a bit of our soul. Nevertheless-- finding logical reasons to move was tough (given we were busy with twin 4 year olds, Anthony is getting his Masters degree, running my own business, etc.....). Until our basement flooded. We were getting all ready to head out on a road trip this spring...and Mother Nature had other plans. (we still went though!!). Long story short (after fixing everything and making our basement even BETTER than it was before.....lol)-- we decided that was our sign.

So, we spent the next couple months prepping the house, working and just trying to juggle it all. I'm not gonna lie-- it was stressful....and not really a good time for me (since I am very busy in the summer and fall with weddings, etc.)....but it is what it is....and there's never a perfect time for anything! We ended up selling the house the same weekend we put it on the market and actually made a very smart financial decision in our lives! ;) Go us!!

Fast forward to now......so where the heck am I? We are currently hanging out in Windsor for a while to get a grasp on where exactly we want to be with our next home (somewhere in Northern Colorado most likely though!) and waiting a bit for the market to calm down in this crazy state!! However--- I spend a lot of time driving to sessions and working in Denver area still, the mountains (of course!!), Boulder area, etc.!

Fort Collins area Weddings and Portraits!

I am sooooooo excited to be back up in the Fort Collins area!! I missed it when I left after College (although it has changed immensely since I loved here last-- and I am not a college kid anymore! lol). I can't wait to become a part of the community up here again, and meet some awesome wedding industry peeps and new clients that live up here!!

I feel at home.

In the coming months I am wrapping up my 2015 shooting schedule, and working on some really awesome things for Jenae Lopez Photography! I am excited to collaborate with some new folks, make some new connections and meet new people! I've got some new products I am really stoked about as well, and will be rolling out a new Product Magazine in the near future.

Family Story documentary Portraits in Fort Collins area ~ A new kind of Family photo!

I am also very excited to give my "Family Story" sessions some love. If you are one of my clients already-- I have probably mentioned this to you! I am going to be offering a new type of family photo session, where it is purely documentary, and I come hangout with you and your family for the day.....documenting your LIFE as it is. The laughter, the tears, the toys, the trips to the zoo, the backyard soccer games, etc.! I am very passionate about people having raw, genuine images of their life with their kids that they can look back on. Yes, it's nice to have photos of everyone looking great and looking at the camera-- I want one too--- but really, I want to remember my boys exactly as they are....the real stuff.
