Jordan and Blair have a deep love for the outdoors. They really wanted to include some beautiful Elopement style mountain photos for their wedding, but it just wasn’t going to happen on their wedding day….so we did a fun and relaxing photo session the day after their wedding (at Della Terra Mountain Chateau in Estes Park)! This is a great way to have an Elopement feel and some private time with each other surrounding your wedding, and still have a larger wedding with family and friends! Thus…why I labeled this as an Elopement Post!

Allow me to start this blog post by giving some love to Elopements in general! When I was growing up, or really anytime before just recently, “elopement” conjured up images of running off to Las Vegas, or a courthouse, and that was it! Although lately, the idea that everyone has a large big wedding affair, or you run off to Vegas, is really not the case! I am here for it!! An Elopement can be just two people that love each other (thanks to the fact that you can marry yourself in Colorado!), adding in some furry friends, or doing more of what is considered a “Micro-elopement” (very closest family and fiends only)! I love this movement that your wedding day an look HOWEVER you want it to!!

I get pretty excited when my awesome clients ask me to do things out of the “ordinary”. Now, it’s not like Skiing in Colorado is exactly unordinary, but not many brave peeps chose to do Skiing Engagement Photos! In general this day was fantastic on all fronts— bluebird Colorado day, amazing company, sunshine…but most of all I have to say that I was most proud of the fact that I carried out this whole session without falling on my skis and all my camera gear 😂💪.
