Winter in Colorado is one of the best seasons for adventurous proposals — fewer crowds, unreal mountain views, and those famous bluebird skies that make photos pop. This Echo Lake proposal and engagement session had all of it: sunshine, snow, and a couple who was all smiles from start to finish.

As far as winter engagement photo locations go in Colorado, Echo Mountain area is one of my favs. It gives you big mountain scenery without a long hike, which makes it perfect for surprise proposals while still feeling like a true mountain adventure!

I get pretty excited when my awesome clients ask me to do things out of the “ordinary”. Now, it’s not like Skiing in Colorado is exactly unordinary, but not many brave peeps chose to do Skiing Engagement Photos! In general this day was fantastic on all fronts— bluebird Colorado day, amazing company, sunshine…but most of all I have to say that I was most proud of the fact that I carried out this whole session without falling on my skis and all my camera gear 😂💪.

Before all of this crazy Pandemic stuff hit….I was able to spend some time with these two adorably fun people up in Beaver Creek! Pedro and Meredith were here vacationing for a bit from New York, and of course thought it was a great opportunity to nab some Engagement photos while here! Meredith has grown up skiing here in Colorado with her family, so even though they are across the country….Colorado has here heart! (Mine too!!)
