ahhh.....look at that BLUE. As much as I LOVE the Sun-- and get a little giddy every time I get to shoot into Twilight time. For this shoot, we got an especially blue twilight over Lake Dillon that evening...it was just sooooo purdyyyyyyy.......
Stephanie contacted me this past Winter about doing some photos for she and her hubby while they were here for vacation! They are tying the knot back home in Illinois (outside of Chicago) later this year- but wanted some epic, fun engagement photos here in Colorado!
Again, as mentioned in previous posts recently, Winter can be so amazingly gorgeous in Colorado...but also kinda tricky to get some of those Epic-style shots- without snowshoeing into longer places-- simply because a lot of the more accessible view areas are just not accessible in the winter. However, one place I can always count on for a pretty accessible place in the winter still- is Frisco and Lake Dillon area! There was a lot of snow right before this shoot though, so I still recomend brining snowshoes for my clients! ;)
We met up in Breckendridge- and headed up to Boreas Pass area and trekked up a bit on the trail (it was packed down enough not to need snowshoes!)- and got some purdy stuff on that pass by Rocky Point! After that, we headed down to Lake Dillon! The mix of all the Pine trees, open ice/lake view, and then of course Loveland Pass way in the background-- is just perfect for photos! You will see too that we got super lucky and got a killer twilight that night of blues and purples! It changed so quickly from pinks/purples, to a brilliant blue and purple twilight...it was so pretty!!
Thanks you two for having me on this part of your adventure- I wish you all the best on your Wedding day!!
xoxo
