Awwwww Maroon Bells. This location doesn’t need to much introduction…and I am fortunate to have been there a few times now! If you are not aware, this iconic location is located just outside of Aspen, Colorado….and is pretty much epic anytime of year…but Winter the road isn’t open up to the lot…but you can snowmobile and all that jazz! (You do need to take a shuttle from Snowmass certain times of year/day because of crowds….so do your research if you plan to visit!) . So, if you are planning a Destination Colorado Wedding, or an Aspen or Snowmass Wedding….reach out to me….and we can add on your Maroon Bells photos too!!!

Last Spring, I met up with Molly and Dail at the butt-crack of dawn lol…and we headed up the road to the iconic location at Sunrise. for the prettiest Alpenglow and colors at the Bells, you (unfortauntely lol) need to go at Sunrise. During Sunset, the Bells face is actually backlit— which can be GORGEOUS too….but I like the dramatic lighting you get in the morning!

We arrived just as the Pink hit the mountainside, and the MOON was just above the ridgeline for a short time…it was downright magical. ;)

After the colors (quickly) subsided…and the sun rose…we headed out and did some epic frolicking around the hillside ;). Luckily, this session happened before the Lake was roped off later in the year…so we were able to jump on the rocks to get some shots on the lake!

We had a gorgeous day, and it always hits me how spoiled I am to be an Adventure Wedding and Engagement photographer…..living here in Colorado!! I mean…I get to see these ridiculously gorgeous locations multiple times throughout the year— with amazing, fun, and carefree people!! Score.
