"it's not where you are, but who you're with that matters" - Dave Matthews Band
Thank you Liberty and Joe...and thank you to all my clients and friends...thank you for inspiring me and trusting me....and allowing me to do one of the most rewarding jobs I could think of. Just wanted to throw that out there.
As I navigate through a whole butt-load of sessions and weddings which I admit will never make the blog because I am so far behind (sorry!!!!)- I was compelled to blog this one from last Spring. It's true, it is not my "typical" mountain-top wedding- but it doesn't matter. I love shooting ALL weddings, and environments...and this wedding just had some really awesome moments in it....and isn't that what it's all about!?? I mean, if I could shoot a Colorado mountain top outdoor wedding everyday- I would-- I live here for a reason! ;) but when it really comes down to Weddings...and photography (for me)....it's about the in-betweens...and the truly telling the story of THAT couples day in the most absolute honest way that I can. No matter where it is.
It was a gorgeous Spring day for a Denver Wedding! Ceremony and Reception for Joe and Liberty was at The Magnolia Hotel! Joe's two beautiful daughters were little hams...and I loved it! I took some care to post a lot of things from this wedding that speak to what I said above....the funny faces (I hope you guys don't mind lol!), lots of laughter, moments with guests, kids being kids, families joining...and killer dance moves!! These awesome guests did a flash mob!! it was incredible and so fun to watch!! I want you to keep in mind that this was a morning wedding!! These peeps killed it on the dance floor! No need for a late night! Mimosas were flowing and it was amazing. Also- I LOVE tulips...and I just adored all the brightly colored flowers (see....I told ya I like that stuff mostly too....;)
I absolutely love shooting blended families! I love seeing relationships incorporate kids! It becomes such a beautiful day and adventure for everyone- not just the Bride and Groom. High Fives to all your parents and couples out there that become Parents on their wedding day too-- you are heroes and amazing people! ;)
I want to thank my friend and fellow photog- Erin Cady, for her awesome help and second shooter skillz with me that day!
