Oh my gosh- there are so many amazing things about this wedding. First off- these two peeps are some of the sweetest, genuine, kind people- and are such a sweet couple together! I had the privilege of shooting them (along with their ADORABLE little kiddo..) up at Kenosha Pass this fall...and I immediately connected with them and was so excited to be part of their adventure!! (see their GORGEOUS Fall color Engagement session here!)
Skip to their January Estes Park Wedding! As with any day in Colorado really....weather is always moment-to-moment! lol! Now, Della Terra is a beautiful Chateux tucked away outside of Estes Park Colorado- right near the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park....so it's gorgeous! However, in the Winter- it can be pretty tricky! We were SUPER blessed with some peeking-out sunshine that day though (even though it was windy and still cold!!)- which was really the only reason we were able to even get outside for a few portraits at all! Now, for these amazing Sunset portraits in RMNP....yes they are so pretty...but boy oh boy did these two suck it up for this!! You guys, this was probably the coldest I have ever been (my hands!!) in 10 minutes!! Don't let that pink sky fool you-- the wind and temperature DROPPED and we literally shot in about 10 minutes- with a quick warm up in the car too! Also, Jessica literally wore my extra boots with no socks and hoofed it into almost knee-deep snow!! WINNER!!!!!!!!!! So happy we did it though- I think it was worth it!!
There were so many sweet and genuine moments to their day and story- I love that their son was included in everything of course- and really, all the kids! So many beautiful and adorable kiddos hanging out with bridal party and just being part of the day- I loved it. I also thought it was so cool when they stopped to hug their parents and have a moment after the ceremony before heading all the way down the aisle. Lastly, it was an unfortunate timing of events- as Jess's father had very recently passed away-- and the camaraderie and support of everyone for her and her mom and brother was amazing- and of course her brothers stepping in as well. This is all what it is about people!! Family....moments...authenticity in your day!
Special thanks to my Sharp-shooter and partner that day- Savannah Chandler! Always a blast to shoot with my buddy! A good handful of images on this post are hers- and it was a team effort that day! Thank you friend!
So, here we have it! Enjoy this beautiful, snowy day in Colorado!
