Stormy Mountain Colorado Wedding as romantic as they come!
Dan and Diane embraced the rain and elements on their August Wedding day, and it was Epic!
First off....look at her dress! I think it's my fav. I LOVED the Pink/blush tones...and the juxtaposition of it amongst the Colorado Wilderness and rocks! These two are some of the sweetest people I have met...and their connection and fondness for each other was so evident in front of the camera! The played, danced, kissed, laughed and just had a down-right good time together-- whatever they were doing! That is what I love seeing on wedding days.
Their wedding was held at one (well two....) of my favorite venues in the Estes Park area. The Black Canyon Inn is a beautiful rustic location of condos for rent, complete with a gorgeous Pavilion for Ceremonies with a jaw-dropping view of Lumpy ridge. Attached to the property is an adorable restaurant called Twin Owls Steakhouse...which holds the receptions! It is a perfect mix of Rustic and elegant/charming- what Colorado does best!
The day was stormy from the get-go....and as much as I love the Sun....I gotta say that when I see that deep dark gray/blue sky against the greenery of the trees....my heart leaps a bit! There is something so artistic, romantic, and beautiful about dark skies. Diane's fair complexion and dress choice stood out so beautifully against the sky too. So.....what do we do with inclement weather?? We embrace it! ;)
We had so much time with just the two of them...I loved it. The day was not rushed....and we had such a great variety of shots of the two of them....after all, that is what the day is about! ;) So you will be viewing mucho photos of the B&G on this one!
It was an incredibly beautiful and genuinely heartfelt day...and I was honored to be a part of it! Thank you two and Congrats!!
