Ah….The Surf Hotel. What an amazing and perfect location for a Colorado mountain wedding! This was my first time shooting at this amazing little gem in Buena Vista….and it did not disappoint- kinda a Colorado wedding photographer dream! I LOVED the mix of old world charm, mixed with the modern chic decor and furniture…all set amongst the gorgeous Colorado mountains! Truly a one-of-a-kind venue if you are looking for a place to say your “I-do’s”!
I had never et Jake or Claire before their wedding day, but you would never know! They were so relaxed and welcoming, and the day just unfolded beautifully with their closest family and friends! The had their ceremony in the courtyard behind the hotel, and I loved the Moroccan rugs that were added for decor! The reception space was beautifully designed, and I just fell i love with the glitzy chandeliers among the Dark turquoise wall! Jennifer, at The Styled Soiree, did an amazing job with the day!
I absolutely loved the Wedding Party peeps at this wedding….everyone just genuinely having a blast and not taking things too seriously! That’s the best folks!! Also, I just want to ensure that you see the cutest little dancing baby of all time at the end of the post…this little (niece) decided the party was way better without her clothes on…and just tore up the dance floor with her adorable diaper lol. #dead.
Before the evening was over, I grabbed Jake and Claire for a few Night Wedding Portraits outside the hotel, with their iconic marquis-style lights! It was a beautiful blue hour, and we got a few really sweet shots of them dancing and just having fun! Great way to end the night!
