A peek into a Documentary in-home family photo session in Colorado!
In the midst of the craziness of Wedding Season (well let’s be honest….just a busy time of year for ANY type of photography!), I LOVE getting to shoot sessions with families and other types of photography as well…it keeps me sharp! If you follow me at all, you know that I absolutely love Family Story photo sessions, they are super near to my heart and I feel super strong that everyone should have photos of their “real” life too!! Even if you think it’s 1000% chaotic in the moment…and just want to sleep….or have 2 minutes to yourself without a toddler coming in the bathroom while you pee….you will appreciate it all later—- I promise!!
I was invited to one of my fellow photographers’ homes last week (She shoots with me on a lot of my weddings, and is an amazing photographer herself!!), which is always super humbling when another photographer invites me to do their photos…..thank you!!! I hung out in the home with she and her wife and their two kiddos!! We did some baking, playing, backyard time, walk to the park, bath time, reading….and all the other moments that seem to take up a whole day when you have children! Now, you will only see one kiddo in these photos because they are graciously fostering the other kiddo right now, and so keeping his cute little face off of Social Media and online is important for him! However, I wanted to at least give a little peek into their world with one little man!
Life is beautiful ya’ll!! Trust me when I say that I force myself to take pics sometimes (of my own life) bc I am just grouchy, or not in the mood to do it….etc…..but I DO….bc those little moments you think will last forever….they don’t!
