SUNNY WINTER ENGAGEMENT SESSION IN SUMMIT COUNTY!

Walkin' on a frozen Lake Dillon, taking a drive through Breckenridge, and over into South Park for a killer Sunset!

I had the pleasure of getting to tag along on this super fun and gorgeous Engagement session up in Summit County! Thank you to my awesome and super talented friend Savannah, of Savannah Chandler Photography, for letting me come along and play!! I love working in a community where it truly is not about competition, but about helping each other out and building camaraderie.

We decided to first head out onto Lake Dillon for some epic-style mountain photos! (It was definitely frozen!!)- I think that was probably the brightest conditions I have ever photographed in! It was an absolutely gorgeous Colorado Sunny day-- which made it double-bright with the reflection of the sun off the snow and ice!! honestly, I couldn't see anything in the back of the camera-- so it was nice to practice just trusting my instinct and not relying on looking at every photo. I was definitely not spot on on a good handful of them- but pretty close! whew!! ;)

After that, we were trying to get up high on Hoosier Pass to do some sweet Mountain-top sunset photos--- but we ended up just chasing the sun most the time...and then there wasn't a really spectacular place up top. So, we continued to chase the sun back down into South Park and Jefferson area....(which is an area I love!!)...and we caught the tail end of an absolutely stunning colorful sunset and twilight! Literally pulled over and jumped out of the car! Sometimes the unplanned becomes the best!

I love tagging a long on shoots and second shooting for people at weddings when I have the time....it allows me to take risks and try new things, and shoot a bit more creatively....it helps me grow for sure!
