Something magical happens when you capture two people just being themselves....doing what they love. I always encourage my couples to incorporate their lives into their Engagement sessions....it just makes it that much better. Isn't that what you want to remember? Remember who you were as a couple as you head into that new stage of your life? Trust me when I say that all the things you think you will remember one day....you don't. (*feeling of getting old moment*)
Sydne and Craig love going to breweries, and being outside, and love Colorado! The best thing about these two was just how much fun they were having just being silly with me, and trusting me when I told them to do something....I guess that was two things. Seriously though, Engagement photos are kind of ridiculous sometimes.....(there....I said it!!)....in the fact that you are suppose to look "normal" just posing lovingly out in the middle of a field? I know for a fact that most of us don't do that "normally"...and so the more humor you can have in the situation, and fun, and just go with the flow and be silly-- the better! That's my philosophy anyway! As you will see with these two-- it paid off. ;) Sometimes we are capturing the emotion and smiles...and then there are times when you trust the light and surrounding environment-- and it all aligns to create a really cool image.
As much as I love shooting Mountain Engagement and Wedding sessions....I truly love the city as well. Really....I love anywhere...I love the spontaneity, the problem-solving aspect of having to find the right light and make a killer photo no matter what the circumstance. Luckily, Colorado is full of diverse places to shoot!
so here we go- I can't wait to shoot their Rocky Mountain Park Wedding this fall-- it will be killer....just like these two. ;)
