I know, I know….it is just getting into Spring and close to Summer…why am I blogging a FALL wedding!?? Well….because I loved it, and they are just adorable….and it gets me excited to be up in Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes again in the nice weather!
These two lovebirds were just my cup of tea. Bailey and her mom got ahold of me earlier in the year, and explained how they were having a very small wedding in Estes, very laid back, with just their closest family and friends…and wanted to just play around and get some fun pictures too! Boom….sounds like an amazing wedding day to me!!
It turned out to be a gorgeous Fall day for an Estes Park wedding, and the Stanley Hotel was looking fab! It was of course packed with tourists that day….and I actually ended up finding the best bathroom there and got some selfies with the Dumb and Dumber posters ;). After checking out the Stanley and dropping off my stuff, I drove up towards the Black Canyon Inn (where I also shoot a ton of weddings!), to a cool house where they were all getting ready! I took one look at Bailey’s dress, and just loved it….it was so perfect for her personality and frame- she looked stunning (I’m pretty sure Alex thought so too lol).
We were going to do a “first look” at the house where they were getting ready…but these two were just so awesome and laid back, I walked into the bedroom and they were just chatting and already saw each other lol! No biggie! After finishing getting ready, we headed out to rocky Mountain National Park for some fun sunny mid-day portraits in the Park! Much of this post if mainly just photos of the two of them- because….well….look at them, and they were so cute together!! Now, shooting mid-day in a high mountain location can be tricky to say the least…but I LOVE shooting in contrasty and front light- and take it any day!!
After photos we headed back the The Stanley for a Cocktail hour and ceremony on the Deck, and then finished the evening inside with some dinner and cupcakes!
It was a gorgeous Colorado Wedding day, and everyone was truly just so relaxed and happy….my favorite kinda wedding days!! Thanks for having me you two!!!
