I have to admit- Proposal photography is a bit nerve-wracking! I am constantly telling myself in my brain-"DON'T SCREW IT UP!!" lol! Yes, weddings have similar moments during ceremony, etc....but maybe I have just shot so many of them- they are a bit more predictable (unless someone steps in front of me with an Iphone ;)....but Proposals really are a one-moment thing! However, true to my nature-- I LOVE the challenge, the planning, and think it's so fun!!
Colin gave me a call and got me up to speed with his idea of proposing to his girlfriend at Red Rocks- they had their first real date there- and he was doing the proposal on the anniversary of that date! Thus, we had one day to do it- and if you have ever been to Red Rocks in the Summer- you know that it constantly has stuff going on- and today was no exception! We originally wanted to do Sunset/evening time- as the harsh Summer light is so so pretty that time of day- but there was a Concert that night- so instead of changing locations, etc....we decided to risk the bright light and die-hard-workout peeps, and do the session in the morning! For their story, the location was so important, and for me that will always win over just a pretty location with perfect light.
Colin and I met up at Red Rocks a few days before to map out where we were going to do all this- and get a plan going! This guy was committed to it being perfect-- nice work Colin!! Needless to say, the day came, and it worked out beautifully, and of course She Said Yes ;)
I also want to mention how much I LOVED Kristi's Ring! OMG! It was made by a designed in LA- and it's just stunning!
Hope to see you guys soon- and Congrats to you!!!!
