Colorado Mountain Fall Wedding
Intimate outdoor mountain wedding with a view!
From Philly to the Mountains! Amanda and Rodney actually had a Destination wedding here in Colorado!! They also had their proposal at Red Rocks earlier that year-- so they have a mad love for Colorado! Amanda called me earlier that year telling all about their destination wedding in Estes Park, and I was stoked to be a part of the day!! I shoot a handful of weddings there each year-- and it is truly such a magnificently beautiful representation of Colorado-- so gorgeous. I grew up going to Estes Park all the time-- my mom loved it-- and we lived on the Front Range, so it always feels a bit like a home to me too.
They chose The Black Canyon Inn and Twin Owls Steakhouse for their location-- and for good reason! If you want a gorgeous ceremony site with great views, and then an amazing intimate rustic/chic reception site with wonderful service and charm-- these two places are the best!! A gem in the Wedding community for sure! I love shooting there.
We literally could not have asked for better weather for their beautiful Fall date. I was nervous that we may be shooting in the snow with no leaves left at all (which would've been gorgeous too!)....but it was the last of the Fall- and stuck around for us! There were so many wonderful parts to the day-- goofy groomsmen, genuine and funny bridesmaids, emotional first looks from mom and dad, hugs with grandma, heartfelt speeches, bull Elk roaming around, and just some good old fashioned drinking and dancing fun! Amanda and Rodney were up for anything which was wonderful- and I loved that we got to do a couple locations for their photos.
It was a GORGEOUS mountain wedding in the fall that really just can't be beat! ;) I wish that they lived here so that we could hangout!!! thank you guys for having me be a part of your adventure-- and we better get drinks when you're in town next!! Congrats!!!
